This web site wants to be a source of information on earthquakes and on seismology instrumentation. The intent is to provide useful information to people wanting to increase their knowledge on earthquakes and promote the earthquake science.

    Near Real Time seismic waveforms are provided from a number of amateur seismic station with  real time data streams or GIF images of virtual seismic drums. Some of these stations operate homemade seismic sensors thanks to the creativity of their authors; in the Homebrew projects page  you can find descriptions of these sensors and also some drawings.

    In the Electronics section we provide references to many instruments and user's manuals, that could also prove useful to scientists, researchers and technicians dealing with seismic instruments. There you can also learn where to find some instruments, boards and parts to build your own seismic station. Many resources are (and will be) provided in the form of technical details, software and datasheet.

    Some free Software is also available. Feel free to use it and share ideas and suggestions. For a number of reasons, I shall not always be in a position to reply not last for the lack of time, but you can be assured that I shall always take good note of them.

    Don't miss to visit the Miscellaneous section, you may find some interesting information not strictly related to earthquakes and seismology but it's worth a five minutes tour.

    A forum is available to allow sharing of information on seismology instrumentation and other topics. Unfortunately automatic spam software runs on forums and spread messages not related to the topics, for this reason all request of subscription are filtered and authorized manually, this can take some time before you receive a subscription approval. I am sure you will understand.

    Cooperation with experts is welcome and all contributions to this web site will be evaluated and, if appropriate, published for the benefit of seismologists community.
